Idea Motion
This project is a canvas-based editor for creating text and image motion through editable, generative templates. Built around a flexible canvas environment, it allows motion to be adjusted, tweaked, and explored, supporting a more hands-on approach to motion design. Outputs can be captured as recordings or still images, making the tool useful for both exploratory work and final assets.
The editor is designed for designers who want to experiment with motion or preset effects. Using a template-based system powered by code-driven behaviours, each motion setup becomes something that can be adjusted in real time; type, images, speed, rhythm, and structure can all be reshaped through simple controls.
As part of the Idea Index ecosystem, the tool follows an “Always in Beta” approach. The project is currently shared as an evolving experiment, intended to grow through use, feedback, and continued refinement while remaining accessible to designers interested in learning, adapting, and building upon the foundations of motion-based creative tools. This is a growing tool and is currently in the discovery stage, so that means that this project may adapt, change or be re-written, with new updates, tools and features added to this regularly. You can test the current Beta 0.1 version of this tool using the link attached. More coming soon.
